160K or 199K?
A 160,000 BTU model is a strong starting point for many homes with up to about three bathrooms. A 199,000 BTU model provides more flow for homes with more bathrooms or several showers and appliances running together.

Check before replacing an existing unit
If your wall-mounted unit also supplies heat to a High-Velocity Air Handler, you may need a Combi Boiler replacement—not a standard tankless water heater.
Heats water for showers, sinks and appliances. It does not normally supply the home’s space-heating system.

160K is suitable for many homes with moderate simultaneous use. Choose 199K when the home has more bathrooms or multiple showers and hot-water fixtures are often used together. Final sizing also depends on GTA winter inlet-water temperature.
A standard tankless unit primarily provides domestic hot water. In an existing Small-Duct High-Velocity system, a Combi Boiler can also supply heating water to the Air Handler. If you have small round outlets and a separate Air Handler, see our Combi & High-Velocity replacement page.
